Air Jordan Sneakers
Air Jordan, also known as Jordan Brand, is a sports brand produced by Nike. The brand was created for the former professional basketball player, Michael Jordan. Their very first pair of shoes were designed by Tinker Hatfield and produced in 1984 - the Air Jordan 1.
The year after, in 1985, the brand brought both the Air Jordan 1 High and Air Jordan 1 Low out on the market. The first model was so successful, Nike decided to release a new one every following year. So, in 1986, the Air Jordan 2 came out. This model was very unique because it was produced in Italy and had no Nike swoosh. Michael Jordan once scored 61 points with these sneakers on his feet.
Two years later the brand released the Air Jordan 3. This pair featured a never-before-seen logo, the Jumpman. It had elephant print on the toes and the heel and just like the second model, there was no Nike swoosh on it. Instead, there was a Nike Air logo on the heel.
After these iconic pairs, Air Jordan released many other models that are just as popular as the Air Force and Air Max series, from the Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 5 and Air Jordan 11 Air Jordan 10 City Series Chicago Air Jordan 35. Moving into the 2000s, Jordan released retro models based on the original colorways, and the Air Jordan 1 Mid silhouette was introduced during the Air Jordan 1’s second retro run.
While Air Jordan continues to be innovative with every release, whether it’s about the materials used, the technology added or just an updated look, they always remain true to their basketball origins with exceptional cushioning and comfort.
